Privacy Policy

The short version

PawShots is a private photo journal for your pet. Your photos, videos, notes, and memories live on your device — not on our servers. We cannot see them, and we never upload, sell, or share them.

What stays on your device

• Photos and videos you import or take
• Notes, milestones, chapters, and journal entries
• Pet profiles (name, species, traits, important dates)

All of this is stored in a local database on your device. Deleting the app's data (or the app itself) removes it permanently — we hold no copy to restore.

Permissions we ask for, and why

• Photo library (read) — so you can import photos of your pet into your journal. Photos are read only when you choose to import them.
• Photo library (add) — photos you take in PawShots are saved to your camera roll first, so they are always yours.
• Camera — only when you tap “Take Photo” to capture a new memory.

What leaves your device

Almost nothing. The only third party involved is RevenueCat, which processes subscription purchases together with Apple. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user ID and your subscription status — never your photos, notes, or any personal content. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.

What we don't do

• No accounts, no sign-in, no email collection
• No analytics or tracking SDKs
• No advertising
• No cloud backup of your journal (your journal is yours alone)

Children

PawShots does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
